Group Standings

After three games, the Algerian National team sits comfortably at the top of group C after defeating another group favorites, Zambia, 2-0 away from home. With two big results away from home, Algeria has two big games at homes in the upcoming months against Zambia and Rwanda, two games which many consider very crucial to guarantee a spot into the world cup next year.

The tension is building up and there are fears of the aftermath of this game in Blida on the public property surrounding the stadium in case the Fenecs lose on Sunday.

Many are predicting that it will be a very good game with both sides fighting till the end. The game is crucial for both teams in hopes to lead the group and qualify to the 2010 World cup in South Africa.

Algeria's Karim Ziani is doing his best to overcome his groin injury and be able to play in the decisive match, no word on his latest fitness test results but many are praying for his recovery in time for the big showdown on Sunday.
